(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed hosting provider INetU announced on Wednesday that its “Gate Community Cloud” global business service has been certified PCI DSS 2.0 Level 1 compliant at its US and EU nodes.

This compliance assures INetU clients that they are using a verified production-ready e-commerce cloud environment.

This news comes a few months after data center operator Quality Technology Services announced that its cloud-based QVI environment has been approved and registered as PCI data security standard 1.2 level 1 certified compliant.

PCI compliant managed services are available immediately at INetU’s Allentown, Pa., Vienna, Va. and Amsterdam, Netherlands data centers. INetU says it is important to have PCI certified cloud nodes at multiple locations for clients who conduct e-commerce internationally or for those who require global disaster recovery.

“By coupling our custom fully managed Gated Community Cloud infrastructure with the security verification of PCI certification, INetU provides e-commerce enterprises with the confidence to operate in our Cloud safely and cost efficiently,” Dev Chanchani, president and CEO of INetU said in a statement. “For many organizations, PCI compliance is an essential part of their managed hosting requirements, INetU can fully deliver that requirement with confidence, worldwide.”

INetU says its Gated Community Cloud service was evaluated and certified by Trustwave.

Launched in September, INetU says that its Gated Community Cloud service offers companies a virtual gated community where only exclusive medium to large enterprises have access to a business-specific cloud environment.
