Web hosting company Immedion announced on Tuesday it has named Brad Tompkins the company’s general manager of its Asheville, North Carolina data center.
Immedion is currently expanding its services, which includes enterprise hosting, colocation, and public, private and hybrid cloud hosting, in the Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee markets.
In this role, Tompkins is responsible for the management of the Asheville facility, along with helping Immedion with its expansion into these markets.
This is the latest in a handful of recent appointment announcements for Immedion, which includes Katie Oliver as financial controller, Hugh McCall as network engineer, and Michael Creech as general manager of Charleston data center.
Tompkins most recently served as the director of technology for insurance technology services company Seibels, where he oversaw all of its technology operations.
“Brad is a great fit for our Asheville office,” said Ravi Sastry, Immedion’s VP of sales. “He has 20 years of experience in the IT industry and a strong management background. We’re excited to have him.”
Aside from the Asheville data center, Immedion also has locations in Greenville, Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina.
