October 11, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider and domain registrar Hostway (hostway.com) announced on Wednesday that it is offering all of its SSL certificates at discounts of up to 50 percent through to October 28.
The company says that its sale is planned just in time for e-commerce websites to renew or add important protections for their customers during the holiday season rush.
Hostway is offering customers a selection of 40-bit and 128-bit certificates with reduced prices starting at $79 for GeoTrust’s QuickSSL certificate. Each one carries a one-time $50 setup fee plus the yearly price. Customers who order a new SSL certificate or renew now lock in the sale price for one full year, says the company.
Last month, Hostway began offering no-risk pre-registration for the .asia top-level domain. Registration for the new TLD officially opened for governments and trademark holders in October.
