(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Hostway (www.hostway.com) announced on Thursday it has expanded its existing hosted storage solutions with the availability of an enterprise-class shared SAN product.
The announcement follows Hostway’s addition of bundled online directories campaign service Instant Business Broadcast and email marketing platform Newsletter Broadcast to its Web hosting plans last month.
Shared SAN will add to the already existing hosted storage offerings, which include direct and network attached high performance storage arrays.
For customers with high volume and high performance requirements, the range of add-on storage solutions can provide tm with optimal internal storage with each dedicated or virtual server.
Hostway’s shared SAN can be easily upgraded, lowering the cost of storage. Enterprise class array is shared among multiple customers, eliminatin any upfront capital costs.
The company manages and maintains the SAN while storage can be acquired on a demand basis, allowing customers to increase or decrease capacity as needed.
