(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Cloud services and Web hosting provider Hostway Corporation (www.hostway.com) has hired Mark D. Adolph as executive vice president and chief financial officer, where he will lead financial operations and capital market activities, and be responsible for Hostway’s mergers and acquisitions.
“I am excited about joining the Hostway team,” Adolph said in a statement issued Tuesday. “It’s a stable company poised for growth with its recent $110 million in debt and equity financing and the backing of the private equity firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson, along with Fortress Capital, Regiment Capital and Phoenix Life.”
Prior to joining Hostway, Adolph served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of satellite Internet service provider WildBlue Communications (www.wildblue.com). Previously, Adolph worked with Cook Inlet Communications and Telecom Partners, where he helped grow the companies’ operations quickly. He was also instrumental in establishing strategic partnerships, raising public and private capital and overseeing merger and acquisition activities in the data center and wireless and communication industry segments.
M. Jay Sinder, who was hired in April 2009, had previously held the role of CFO at Hostway.
“Mark makes an excellent addition to the Hostway senior executive team,” Hostway chief executive officer and co-founder Lucas Roh said in a statement. “We have the people, infrastructure and intellectual property for growth, and Mark can help us build on these assets while driving operating metrics that accelerate growth and profitability.”
Adolph is the latest in a recent string of executive appointments. In April, Hostway named Gordon Henry as executive vice president and general manager. Henry was assigned to oversee the company’s small- and medium-sized businesses division, which focuses on providing Web hosting, Web design, online advertising and other small and medium-sized business services.
Hostway’s services range from Web hosting for SMBs to managed and dedicated server hosting for large enterprises. Developed internally, its online service delivery portal, ServicePlex, is designed to deliver a seamless customer experience.
In 2009, the company launched its cloud hosting offering, FlexCloud, which gives customers access to a multi-million dollar hosting infrastructure starting for as low as $15 per month, and with the ability to scale up and down based on business needs.
WHIR tv interviewed Hostway co-founder and VP John Lee and Attracta (www.attracta.com) VP Troy McCasland about a partnership enabling Hostway to distribute Attracta’s automated website SEO optimization tools to customers.
