(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Hostway (www.hostway.com) announced on Thursday it will add network services to the portfolio of products offered by its new Enterprise Services business division (www.hostwayenterprise.com).
Earlier this week, Hostway launched its new business unit, Hostway Enterprise Services, which serves the company’s enterprise customers.
In addition to network services, the business division provides dedicated and managed servers, cloud applications, colocation and other hosted solutions.
The new Network Services Group will offer IP transit, Layer 2 VPN, IPV6, distributed denial of service protection, and customized bandwidth management solutions to new and existing wholesale and retail customers.
Hostway says the new services will further enhance its ability to provide end-to-end, customized solutions to corporations, government agencies and utilities, software as a service providers, and other online application companies.
“We’re excited about the potential of the new team and the implications for our existing enterprise offerings,” says Todd Benjamin, director of Hostway Enterprise Services. “As more enterprise applications move to the cloud, offering our customers an end-to-end managed solution for hosted computing and bandwidth infrastructure will enhance those customers’ ability to increase performance, reliability, and affordability of their hosted applications.”
Hostway Network Services is now offered on Hostway’s fully redundant global backbone network, with points of presence in New York, Miami, Tampa, Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle, Austin, London, and Amsterdam.
The company will roll out additional services and PoPs to meet the needs of companies using Internet based technologies.
