(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Hosting 4 Less (www.hosting4less.com) announced on Thursday it has launched a new website, www.HonshuQuake.com, dedicated to providing relief to the victims of the recent Japanese earthquake and Tsunami.
Last Friday, Japan experienced a 9.0 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Honshu, which immediately triggered a major tsunami.
The two disasters have devastated the country, resulting in 5,321 deaths, 2,383 injured, and 9,329 missing people, as well as tens of billions in damages.
Hosting 4 Less president Eric Holtzman says he greatly empathizes with Japan, as he and many members of his staff experienced the 6.7 magnitude earthquake in Northridge, California back in 1994.
Many websites have already sprouted up in the past week, soliciting donations on behalf of the Japanese people.
Unfortunately, many of these websites are fraudulent in nature or fail to be transparent, making it difficult to find out where the money actually goes.
Hosting 4 Less wanted to create a user friendly website to make it convenient and easy for the public to donate.

The website currently features a one page appeal for donations to the Red Cross. The company will also incorporate the history and effects of the devastating situation in the second phase of the website.
