April 25, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy (godaddy.com) announced on Tuesday it has signed a deal to be the presenting sponsor for next month’s Indianapolis 500 racing broadcast.
Go Daddy is known for its racy Super Bowl commercials featuring Candice Michelle and became involved with Indy racing last year by sponsoring driver Danica Patrick.
“I’m excited to be a Go Daddy Girl. I’m happy Go Daddy stepped up to be the presenting Indy 500 broadcast sponsor this year,” says Patrick. “It’s good for our sport to have a world leader, like Go Daddy, involved in such a high-profile way.”
The Indianapolis 500 broadcast will be aired live on May 27 at 1:00 p.m. on ABC. Go Daddy will also be the presenting sponsor for the Indy 500 Qualifying and Bump Day television broadcasts on ESPN2 beginning May 12.
Last month, Go Daddy donated $20,000 to Joomla and Simple Machines Forum to assist in further development of open source applications.
