(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting giant Go Daddy (www.godaddy.com) announced this week that it plans to advertise in the Super Bowl for the seventh consecutive year, having purchased two 30-second spots during the game, and another 30-second spot during FOX’s pre-game show.

The company says the ads have not yet been approved – the controversy associated with the content of the company’s ads being almost as much of an annual tradition as the ads themselves – and, in fact, that they have yet to be shot. But the company promises they will be “GoDaddy-esque,” (by which it means “edgy, fun and slightly inappropriate”) and will be produced by its in-house team Go Daddy Productions.

According to Go Daddy the ads will feature two “Go Daddy girls,” race car driver Danica Patrick and celebrity fitness trainer Jillian Michaels.

“Jillian has the power [and] Danica has the speed,” says Go Daddy CEO Bob Parsons, quoted in the company’s press release. “Together, our dynamic duo of Go Daddy girls adds up to sheer Super Bowl magic. Hopefully the FOX network won’t keep commercial creativity on such a short leash this time around. For 2011, Go Daddy is going to be as edgy as ever. In fact, our goal is to out-Go-Daddy ourselves.”

Patrick has appeared in four of the company’s Super Bowl ads to date, including the company’s 2009 “Baseball” commercial, which, according to Go Daddy was rated the most watched ad of that year’s game by Tivo.

Michaels is a new spokesperson for the company, having joined the roster of Go Daddy girls in September of this year.

Go Daddy has an archive of its past Super Bowl ads online in a section of its website.
