September 13, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Domain registrar and Web host Go Daddy (godaddy.com) announced on Thursday that its customers can now register, transfer or renew domain names for $1.99 per year when they purchase a non-domain product.
The new price is half the company’s existing price of $3.99 with a non-domain purchase. The lower price is available until September 30.
For the purpose of the deal, Go Daddy’s non-domain products include Web hosting, SSL certificates and e-commerce shopping carts.
“We’re excited to tell the Internet community that the best domain value on the Net just got better,” said Bob Parsons, president of Go Daddy. “Since Go Daddy started back in 1999, one of our goals has been to increase the Internet’s accessibility for everyone.”
