January 4, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Global Netoptex (gni.com) announced on Thursday that William B. Hanegan has been appointed to the newly-created position of director of information technology.
Hanegan, who will report directly to company CEO Derek Wise, will oversee the company’s IT and engineering teams and will have direct responsibility for prioritizing projects, managing budgets, implementing technologies and instituting innovations that improve customer satisfaction.
Prior to joining GNi, Hanegan served as director of information security at Randall Boyd where he provided complete strategic oversight and coordinated practice lead and management functions. He has also held positions as manager of network services for Adecco, manager of network engineering for Ross Systems and manager of technical services for Aames Financial.
“Our main focus is customer satisfaction,” says Wise. “Hanegan understands the critical importance of using technology in innovative ways to increase that satisfaction. He?ll also be overseeing the technical budget to ensure we get the maximum impact from every dollar spent, both for our clients and for our company.”
