(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Web hosting provider Future Hosting (www.futurehosting.com) announced on Thursday that it has upgraded hardware upgrades across its Virtual Private Servers hosted in its London data center.
This announcement comes almost three weeks following Future Hosting’s introduction of colocation servers in its Washington data center.
Future Hosting says its upgraded VPS nodes offer more than twice the speed as previous configurations and implementation will be complete by March 1, 2011.
“Competing and growing in today’s marketplace requires Future Hosting to not just stay on-par with our competitors, but instead to continue our leadership role in the industry by offering cutting-edge hardware and world-class quality at prices growing businesses can afford,” Future Hosting chief strategy officer Stephen Kowlaski said in a statement. “We’re raising the bar once again, and our customers are the primary beneficiaries.”
According to the press release, all physical servers now have 15,000 RPM SAS drives in RAID-10 configuration with a new generation of Intel Xeon processors.
Future Hosting says it has also increased RAM on all servers.
