(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Web hosting provider Future Hosting (www.futurehosting.com) announced on Tuesday that it has introduced colocation services in its Washington data center. This marks the first time the company has offered colocation.

This announcement comes nearly a month after Future Hosting announced its partnership with InterWorx for server clustering.

Future Hosting says its colocation services are highly customizable, ranging from individual servers to partial or full cabinets and customers can select their power circuit, voltage, port speed and bandwidth allotment. The company also offers an optional server management service for colocated servers.

“Colocation has been a component of our strategic growth plan for several years, especially as many of our customers continue to expand and seek to further integrate Web services into their business operations. We aim to provide affordable and phenomenally customizable colocation services in a world-class data center facility,” Future Hosting CEO Vik Patel said in a statement.

According to the press release, Future Hosting recently expanded its entire hosting portfolio to Washington, D.C. adding dedicated servers, hybrid servers, high bandwidth ports, integrated management control panels, Ksplice Uptrack rebootless upgrades and other network services. Before last month, Future Hosting had only offered only VPS in its Washington facility.

Future Hosting’s 71,000 square foot Washington data center was built in 2009 and includes 36″ raised flooring, redundant power and cooling and 24/7 onsite security.
