(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) –- UK Web hosting provider DediPower (www.dedipower.com) announced on Tuesday it is providing hosting services for the e-learning services provider ForSkills (www.forskills.co.uk), which delivers web-based learning resources to schools, colleges and private companies wishing to implement and manage online learning.
The move comes a couple months after DediPower announced it is providing hosting for The BRIT Awards 2011 with MasterCard.
ForSkills designs and supplies assessment, monitoring and management software and tools.
The organization works with many educational facilities and people-focused corporations including BT, NHS, KPMG and the Football League.
DediPower is providing ForSkills with the resilient server infrastructure, flexible systems architecture and dedicated management and support it needs to provide 24-hour delivery of its always-on learning platforms.
The increasing use of e-learning methods among educational establishments has led to a greater demand for ForSkills’ Entry Level 1- Level 3 online assessment and skills suite that covers the core subjects of English, Math and ICT.
This growth has led to large traffic spikes in ForSkills’ website, particularly at the beginning of each academic year.
“E-learning is now a prerequisite for modern teaching environments,” says Chris Miller, CEO of DediPower. “As well as improving provision and to help public funding go further, ForSkills also enables private organizations to manage and distribute skills information and resources more efficiently. We are delighted that DediPower’s ‘passion for support’ is actively helping ForSkills to deliver education to anyone, anywhere, at anytime – making access to skills development available to a wider cross section of the population.”
