Web Host DataPoint Sees Success
July 7, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Internet service provider DataPoint (datapointinc.com) announced on Friday it is offering a combination of carrier-class data center services and high-speed dedicated Ethernet connectivity.
DataPoint has signed over 100 new business clients since its brand transition from ToadNet in late 2005, and now has over 1,000 regional business clients among its total customer base. If it operates at its current growth rate, the ISP will see a 75 percent increase in its commercial customer base in 2006.
Visual design firm e.magination (emagination.com) signed on with DataPoint in December 2005 as an Internet access customer. In 2006, e.magination expanded its partnership with DataPoint by purchasing additional Internet connectivity, as well as using its data center facility and dedicated Ethernet technology.
“I host several hundred Web sites at e.magination, so it is critical for me to receive quality service and rapid response rates,” says Charles Serrini, e.magination’s director of quality assurance. “We are so confident in DataPoint’s solutions that we are routing 100 percent of our traffic through their company.”
