Datapipe has data centers in Shanghai and Hong Kong
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Datapipe (www.datapipe.com) announced on Thursday that it has formed a strategic partnership with data center and network services provider Shanghai Data Solution (www.shuxun.net).
This partnership comes a month after Datapipe launched its PCI DSS 2.0 Level 1 Service Provider certified cloud computing platform.
According to the press release, the partnership enables Datapipe and SDS to offer a combination of services to multinational companies in China. SDS owns and operates Tier 4 grade data centers with one of the few premier carrier neutral network platforms in China.
“SDS has a strong reputation for delivering a high level of service to multinational corporations, many of which are existing Datapipe clients,” Robb Allen, CEO said in a statement. “As a result, we see great potential for this strategic relationship and look forward to providing SDS clients with Datapipe’s enterprise ready, mission-critical IT services.”
Datapipe offers its solutions out of two data centers in China: one in Hong Kong and another in Shanghai. Both regions have been targeted for expansion by web hosting providers and data center operators alike. In September, Google announced that it would invest more than $200 million to build data centers in Asia.
“Our team at SDS works hard to fully satisfy our customers with mission critical applications through the reliable and secure IDC and network platforms that SDS has built over the past 12 years,” Dr. Zhang Jianfeng, CEO of SDS said in a statement. “Working in partnership with Datapipe, SDS is now able to extend the scope of our services to include a complete solution for IT outsourcing and cloud computing services.”
Datapipe offers cloud computing, virtualization, compliance, business continuity, disaster recovery, IaaS, PaaS and CDN services.
