March 14, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed hosting provider Data393 (data393.com) announced on Wednesday it has signed agreement to deliver a full range of managed hosting and IT services to hospitality wholesale equipment and supplies dealer Galasource (galasource.com).
Under the agreement, Data393 will provide Galasource with managed Windows and Linux servers, providing central management and high reliability hosting for Galasource’s e-commerce and corporate needs. Galasource’s Web site is one of the most heavily visited sites in the demanding food service equipment and supply industry.
Data393 will also provide Galasource with its virtual private network which encrypts data over a secured channel to prevent outside interception while giving authorized personnel safe access at multiple locations. Data393′s disk-based data protection service, SecureData, provides Galasource with a data recovery strategy in the event of a disaster. Finally, Data393′s managed load balancing distributes Galasource’s inbound Web site traffic among multiple servers to mitigate potential bottlenecks and to avoid reduced performance that can hurt the company’s e-commerce sites.
“Data393 is pleased to offer a one-stop shop for IT management for Galasource’s burgeoning restaurant supply business while making available the managed hosting solutions that drive e-commerce,” says Erik Porter, Data393 co-founder and VP of sales. “With an investment of more than $30 million into our 24/7-staffed, multi-carrier data center, we are supporting Galasource with managed dedicated servers, load balancing and application management solutions that provide a resilient framework for the company’s critical e-commerce Web sites.”
