(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Connectria Hosting (www.connectria.com) announced on Thursday it has launched a Business Only Cloud (www.bizonlycloud.com), a cloud solution designed for select corporate members.
The move follows the launch of Connectria’s Private Cloud Computing solution under its previous subsidiary, REDPLAID, before the company consolidated it under the Connectria Hosting brand.
The Business Only Cloud offers companies a secure alternative to other clouds solutions on the mark which allow anyone with a valid credit card to gain entry.
Connectria’s Business Only Cloud does not admit consumers or hobbyists, and attempts to eliminate presence of activities that may “jeopardize the integrity of the Business Only Cloud,” such as spamming, phishing and spoofing.
“While some cloud providers claim to offer security layers to guard against malicious attacks and vulnerabilities, Connectria has taken cloud security a step further,” says Rich Waidmann, Connectria president and CEO. “By implementing a screening process with very specific criteria, only established and ‘legitimate’ businesses get in, making Connectria’s Business Only Cloud a more viable and secure option for companies. We carefully scrutinize and reject admission of suspect applicants who may taint our cloud.”
Connectria’s Business Only Cloud offers both public and private cloud options.
It also provides standard configurations which include Dell PowerEdge Servers, EqualLogic SANs, VMware vSphere, as well as custom alternatives.
In order to join the Business Only Cloud, companies must submit an application and undergo a screening process to ensure they meet the requirements of admission.
