(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web host AIS Network announced on Monday that in addition to celebrating its 19th anniversary this month, it has doubled in size over the past two years due in large part to the growth of cloud-based SharePoint hosting.
According to the press release, AISN is a growing leader in enterprise-class hosting solutions for Microsoft SharePoint and SharePoint for Internet sites as well as other mission-critical applications.
AISN began offering SharePoint FIS at the beginning of January to simplify web content management and administration for creative teams. It is meant for collaborative building and managing of public-facing websites.
“We are extremely proud of AISN’s steady growth over the past 19 years and our strong position in the SharePoint hosting and cloud computing industries today. And naturally, we are grateful to our clients, partners, employees and everyone who has been a part of AISN’s 19-year history,” CEO Jay Atkinson said in a statement. Atkinson led the company to growth after being named CEO in 2010 when 3Sixty Holdings acquired AISN.
“We live in a time in which the Internet has enabled a level of collaboration never before possible,” Atkinson said in a statement. “SharePoint and the cloud have ushered in a new frontier in collaboration, and we’re excited to be part of it. AISN’s future is bright as we progress into the decade ahead.”
After Atkinson’s appointment, the web hosting provider overhauled its marketing efforts, opened an office in Northern Virginia and formed many partners with applications developers and SharePoint consultants. It also began offering clients cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
“This month, we mark nearly two decades. What we are most proud of is the service we provide to our clients, giving us extremely low customer churn rate. We know that once we have the customer, we will delight them and keep them for the long run. Many of our customers have been with us for over a decade, including many large SharePoint hosting clients,” AISN chairman Kurt Baumann said in a statement.“As we move toward our third decade, it remains our mission today to design and build the leading, custom, cloud-based hosting solutions on the market.”
Baumann was responsible for recruiting AISN’s advisory board of technologists, according to the press release.
AISN’s clients are organizations of all sizes in industries ranging from government to non-profit, as well as startups and publicly traded companies.
