(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Colocation and Web hosting provider American Internet Services (www.americanis.net) announced on Tuesday it has appointed Timothy Caulfield as chief executive officer.
Caulfield held senior executive positions at Savvis, Cable & Wireless America, Exodus and Digital Equipment Corporation.
“Tim has an unparalleled track record as a senior executive who strengthens data center operations, focuses on customer services and support, expands technical capabilities, retains key employees and takes organizations to their next level of performance,” says Scott McCormack, partner at Seaport Capital and AIS board member. “We are excited to have him join AIS.”
At Savvis, Caulfield was SVP of global operations where he expanded its international data center footprint and upgraded its network infrastructure.
While at Cable & Wireless America he was responsible for its hosting business.
Caulfield will be responsible for the growth of AIS’ portfolio of services, and build upon the success that former CEO Alessandra Lezama created during her three years at AIS.
