Web Host 3FN Adds Level 3 Connection

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Dedicated hosting provider Triple Fiber Network (www.3fn.net) announced last week it has signed a long term agreement with Internet service provider Level 3 Communications (www.level3.com) to become Level 3′s network partner.

The company says in a press release that Level 3 will provide its “fiber-based communications services to support 3FN in its ongoing provision of high quality hosting services throughout the world.”

The news follows 3FN’s recent upgrade to the company’s European backbone, which offered a significant improvement in the performance of its IP network connectivity.

3FN will now have access to Level 3′s advanced optical fiber and carrier-neutral colocation facilities, enabling the web host to significantly improve its web hosting services.

“Our company’s solutions are being enhanced by Level 3′s wholesale Internet services,” says Dean McToner, the 3FN official representative. “Moreover, Level 3 offers an innovative and comprehensive transmission network solution to support our increasing bandwidth demands. 3FN dedicated server web hosting network now provides the flexibility and the scalability necessary to grow with our customers needs and continue operating with high performance and greater efficiency across geographically diverse areas. As a leading international provider of fiber-based communications services Level 3 has reached agreement with 3FN which together will help our customers keep pace with the demands of an increasingly networked world.”

With the newly added connectivity from Level 3′s advanced technology, 3FN will be able to provide its wholesale and content customers with a wide range of services over an end-to-end fiber network.

Headquartered in San Jose, 3FN’s main data center is located in Silicon Valley. The company provides dedicated hosting, shared hosting, and colocation services.
