September 8, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center operator 365 Inc. (365main.com) announced on Thursday that it had acquired a 131,000 square-foot data center in El Segundo, California, and that the new facility is now open for business.
365 Inc. operates the 365 Main data center facility in San Francisco, and decided to expand its reach in response to the growth of its first facility.
“The business model we developed in San Francisco continues to out perform our expectations,” stated Chris Dolan, President and CEO of 365 Inc. “This is the right time to expand our business footprint and strengthen the 365 brand.”
The El Segundo facility, says 365, meets the same strict criteria as the San Francisco facility.
“This data center meets the reliability, maintainability and scalability for today’s mission critical customer requirements. The flexible design, N+2 redundancy and essential facility status for seismic performance provide the best solution in Southern California,” says Peter Gross CEO of EYP Mission Critical Facilities, the company responsible for the facility commissioning and certification.
