(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Dedicated Web host 180Servers (www.180servers.com) is doubling its current hosting capacity with the addition of servers at its ash1 facility in Asheville, North Carolina.
According to 180Servers’ Tuesday announcement, this expansion will provide more on-demand dedicated servers in a facility strategically located away from places of high disaster incidences. With the goal of creating a fast and reliable network presence across the US, 180Servers is headquartered in Houston, TX, and has data centers in Dallas and Asheville.
Designed to keep critical IT infrastructure running while even under the most extreme conditions, the ash1 facility maintains highly reliable service via its redundant network and power capabilities.
“We searched everywhere and found two of the best data centers in the country to allow for the most growth, dal1 in Dallas, TX and ash1 in Asheville, North Carolina,” 180Servers general manager Anthony Morgan said in a statement.
Morgan notes that this is just the latest step in the company’s growth plans. “This will not be the last time we will have to strategically plan for our company’s expansion,” he said.
The largest city in Western North Carolina, Asheville has been a popular location for data centers projects.
Last year, North Carolina-based hosting services provider Netriplex (www.netriplex.com) announced plans to enhance its Asheville data center with the extension of its high-capacity fiber connectivity from Asheville to the Washington, DC, area and the Northeast US, giving Netriplex the ability to peer with hundreds of major transit providers, while still offering a safe location for emergency support in case of natural or man-made crises.
