October 9, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Internet application acceleration solution provider WARP Technology Holdings (WarpSolutions.com) said on Tuesday that it has announced its intention to acquire dynamic content acceleration software provider SpiderSoftware Inc. (SpiderSoftware.com).

The combination of WARP Solutions and SpiderSoftware, says WARP, will offer service providers, enterprise organizations and small and medium-sized businesses a range of dynamic acceleration solutions for improving the speed and performance of applications delivered across IP-based networks.

As part of the planned acquisition, WARP says SpiderSoftware?s current president and CEO Greg Parker would join WARP Technology Holdings as CTO and will serve as a member of WARP Technology Holdings? board of directors.

Under the terms of the deal, SpiderSoftware will continue to operate as its own entity as a subsidiary of WARP Technology Holdings, focusing on software solutions. WARP solutions will continue to operate as a subsidiary of Warp Technology Holdings, focusing on network appliance solutions.
