Wal-Mart Sells AT&T Internet Service

November 30, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — North America’s largest retailer Wal-Mart (walmart.com) announced this week it is teaming up with AT&T (att.com) on a new marketing program to sell AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet in its stores nationwide, according to reports.

Wal-Mart has already begun marketing its high-speed Internet service at its Connection Center locations, which are specialized areas within Wal-Mart stores that sell broadband and wireless services to customers.

Reports say AT&T will offer the Yahoo! High-Speed Internet service for $14.99 per month with no term contract, and customers can expect to see other specials in the near future.

Wal-Mart says it is teaming up to sell the service in the states where AT&T offers home phone service, including California, Nevada, Texas, Michigan and Connecticut. 570 stores in 13 states will sell the high-speed Internet service, says Wal-Mart.
