March 21, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Mirror Image Internet (mirror-image.com) announced on Monday that graphics service provider VSD Grafx (vsdfx.com) has chosen Mirror Image to provide content delivery services for its Visio Café Web site.
VSD Grafx develops graphics using drawing and diagramming program Visio, then posts the graphics to the Visio Café site. The site averages more than two million hits per month.
The company began working with Mirror Image when its original hosting provider was unable to handle the growing traffic generated by the Visio Café Web site. After evaluating numerous companies, VSD Grafx decided to go with Mirror Image’s content delivery services for its patented content access point network deployed at network peering points in North America, Europe and Asia.
“As the Visio Café site gains popularity, our traffic is continually increasing and we cannot afford even a second of downtime,” says Trevor Foster, president of VSD Grafx. “Hiring a content delivery network was crucial to our business, and having Mirror Image on board to reliably deliver content to our users is an important factor in our continued growth.”
