August 8, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- VPSLAND.com, LLC (vpsland.com) announced on Monday that it has selected open source technology Xen (xensource.com) to run its Virtual Private Server hosting service.

The Xen Virtual Machine Monitor open source technology enables the virtualization of many different server and filesystem environments onto a single host machine.

VPSLAND.com is using the technology to provide virtual private servers to its customers.

The company says the solution delivers a cost-effective alternative to dedicated servers and a secure, powerful and scalable alternative to traditional shared hosting.
