VPS.NET To Begin New Pricing Structure

VPS.NET's VPS system lets customers buy a number of nodes, each providing 256MB RAM, 10GB SAN storage, 400MHz dedicated CPU and 250GB of bandwidth per month.

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Following the February launch of its cloud-based virtual private server offering in restricted beta trial, the UK2 Group (www.uk2group.com) has taken the next step in its rollout of VPS.NET (www.vps.net) by implementing standard pricing.

According to VPS.NET, beginning Friday, UK2′s redundant VPS cloud hosting system will no longer be available as a free trial for preliminary testers, or for the introductory price of $10 or £10 (depending on your location) for those who signed on between March 25 and the end of April.

Built on a RAID 10 storage area network backend and using node-based architecture, VPS.NET offers immediate scalability with pre-made stacks, a simple billing process and a user friendly management portal.

Nodes are the unit the VPS.NET system is based on, each providing 256MB RAM, 10GB SAN storage, 400MHz dedicated CPU and 250GB of bandwidth per month.

Offering discounts based on volume, starting on May 1, the default pricing will start at $30 or £20 per node for the first node, up to $14 or £11 per node for seven or more nodes.

All existing Private Beta Testers, who signed up before March 25, however, will be rewarded for their help with $10 or £10 per node pricing for six months.
