(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Following the first beta trial launch of its redundant virtual private server cloud hosting system, VPS.NET (www.vps.net), earlier in the month, the UK2 Group (www.uk2group.com) has announced the second phase of the beta trial of VPS.NET, making it available to 50 additional beta testers.
Known for its large family of hosting brands including UK2.net, midPhase, WestHost, US2.net, WingSix, and Dotable, the UK2 Group’s VPS.NET is a new offering designed to simplify the process of VPS cloud hosting. “Beta2,” which has now been initiated, brings an additional 50 beta testers to the VPS.NET cloud, taking the total number of beta testers to more than 150.
The UK2 Group said the VPS.NET Beta Trial has been overwhelmingly successful, recording much positive feedback, as well as constructive contributions including bug tracking efforts, and new tool and feature requests. This feedback has helped the UK2 Group deploy several performance enhancing patches.
One of the features that received the most interest is the “Nodes Slider” tool, which lets users deploy new VPSs quickly and easily, according to the UK2 Group. Testers are extremely impressed by the ease and speed ‘s by utilizing this tool.
The UK2 Group said that more “Beta2″ Testers will be invited to join the VPS.NET cloud over the coming weeks, as final developments and preparations are made for launch across the UK2 Group, schedule for late March.
