Table of Netcraft's Top 10 Most Reliable Sites for October 2010
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web analytics firm Netcraft (www.netcraft.com) has reported that Virtual Internet (www.vi.net) led its monthly Web reliable survey for October.
The UK-based managed host’s site responded to all but four of Netcraft’s requests.
Founded in 1996, the Web host offers high connectivity, redundant power and cooling, multiple fault-tolerant distribution paths and strict access controls.
New York Internet’s site was ranked second this month. The company has been in the top five places of the most reliable Web host rankings for the last six months.
INetU came in third place responding to all but six of Netcraft’s requests in the last month.
The Web host has appeared in the top five eight times in the last year.
Rounding out the rest of the list is www.codero.com, Datapipe, iWeb Technologies, www.logicworks.net, Swishmail, www.acens.com, and Multacom.
The top 10 Web hosts for October were evenly split between Linux and FreeBSD.
Netcraft measures and posts the response times of around 40 leading web hosts’ sites with performances measured 15 minute intervals from separate points around the Internet.
Averages are calculated over the immediately preceding 24-hour period.
