September 8, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — VIA NET.WORKS (vianetworks.com) announced last Friday that Fraser Park, chief financial officer, has resigned for personal reasons. Park will leave at the end of the month and will be replaced by interim CFO Matt Gough.

In a press release, the company said Park was unwilling to continue commuting from his home in the UK or permanently relocating to Amsterdam.

Park served less than nine months as CFO and is the third to resign in the last two years.

Gough, currently the company’s corporate controller, has over 14 years of experience in finance and has spent the last six years in Europe focused on the telecommunications sector.

“Matt’s combination of telecom experience here in Europe and specific SEC and US GAAP expertise has already proved a great asset to VIA and I look forward to working more closely with him,” said Williams.
