Verio to Hold Partner Summit

August 15, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed hosting provider Verio (verio.com) announced on Tuesday that it will be holding its first annual viaVerio Partner Summit from September 20 to 21. The event is set to take place at The Venetian Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada immediately following Tier 1 Research’s 2007 Hosting Transformation Summit.

The theme of the two-day conference, “Welcome to the Services Evolution,” will address how solution provider partners can leverage online business enablement services for their customers, as well as for their own businesses. Attendees will be offered exposure to top industry practitioners and thought leaders and granted exclusive previews of key product developments and initiatives.

Verio will feature 16 breakout sessions across four different tracks to arm attendees with practical, actionable information that can be used to create and drive personal company roadmaps. Event keynote speakers include Jeff Kaplan, founder and managing director of THINKstrategies, who will speak to solution providers on the progression of their businesses from providing Web hosting to the business services that are increasingly required by their customers and Philbert Shih, research analyst with Tier1 Research, who will broach the topic of the evolution of the hosting industry to a business solutions model.

Last week, Verio became an advanced partner in the Red Hat Hosting Program enabling Verio to offer competitive products and pricing to customers for its Linux-based Web hosting solutions, including the virtual private server and the managed private server.
