Additionally, the offering will help to ensure the steady growth of the Internet, as well as help North America stay competitive globally as other countries continue their IPv6 implementations.”

Verio said that Internet service providers, universities, research institutions, and application providers that focus on wireless technologies have shown interest in IPv6.

The company said IPv6 will be delivered over NTT/Verio’s global IP network, which has been newly upgraded.

Verio said it is the official provider of IPv6 connectivity to this week’s US IPv6 Summit 2003 in Arlington, Virginia.
