Verio Expands with New European Subsidiary

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Small-business hosting firm Verio (www.verio.com) announced on Tuesday it has expanded its global operations with the opening of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Verio Europe.

Verio Europe consists of the former SMB division of NTT Europe Online.

Headquartered in Germany, Verio Europe will consist of a team of “SMB experts” offering online services ranging from domain registration to shared and virtual hosting, and online backup services, says Verio.

The new subsidiary will expand Verio’s global footprint in the EMEA region.

Both new and existing customers will be able to access Verio Europe’s local market and technical expertise, as well as Verio’s worldwide products and programs.

“We look forward to the new opportunities afforded to us as a result of the addition of Verio Europe, and we believe this will not only expand our SMB business, but also strengthen the support we provide to current partners and customers,” says Kiyoshi Maeda, president and CEO of Verio. “We continue to lead the market with our global OEM and partner efforts and the establishment of Verio Europe will further help us to meet the growing demand for our services, while at the same time, strengthening our overall position as the leader in delivering online solutions to SMBs worldwide.”
