Verio Europe Changes Name

July 21, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Verio Europe (ntteurope.com), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTT Communications (ntt.com), announced on Friday it will be renamed to NTT Europe Online, in recognition of the changing focus of the company’s business. The name change will come into effect in October 2006 and the company has already started managing the change process.

Verio Europe has implemented a strategy of continuous development and investment in recent years, including the expansion of its product portfolio and enhancements to its service delivery and support processes. This has enabled it to focus more on the design, delivery and management of business-critical Internet infrastructures and online solutions, moving away from its previous origins as a shared hosting provider.

“Our focus on solution led services, partner development and service delivery means that we are now frequently challenging the market leaders in the managed hosting space, providing business critical services to global organizations across a range of vertical markets,” says Kazuhiro Nishihata, president of Verio Europe. “The name change is in recognition of our continuing growth within this industry.”

NTT Com’s progression in the market was further substantiated when it was included in the challenger quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for pan-European Web Hosting. The Gartner report evaluates a company’s ability to execute its services and the completeness of its strategic vision.
