The crash was not an isolated incident. According to the report, there have been several power outage problems at the Arbor Lakes Data Center in recent months. Earlier this month, 23 of the University’s servers reportedly crashed, taking down email, the University Web site and other Web-based applications.

An independent power consultant has been hired to assess the situation.
