March 22, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — UK Web hosting provider UnitedHosting (unitedhosting.co.uk) announced on Wednesday it has added hardware-based spam and virus filtering solution Mailfoundry, enabling the company to protect its customers from the latest spam, virus and phishing based emails.
Mailfoundry’s spam filtering reduces false positives ensuring UnitedHosting customers receive only genuine email with less than a one in one million chance of legitimate email being quarantined. Much like a PC virus scanner, MailFoundry uses definitions which are updated every five minutes by real human spam editors to ensure even the most recent spam outbreaks are filtered.
“99.99 percent uptime is all well and good,” says Matthew Wallis, director of United Communications, “but when our own consumer research presented us with spam as the number one concern, we took this as an opportunity to respond to our customers needs. MailFoundry was the answer.”
UnitedHosting has added MailFoundry to all its shared and reseller hosting packages at no extra charge, offering customers more value and enforcing the company’s commitment to providing value packed hosting solutions for all of its customers.
