United Layer Expands To 365 Main

August 23, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — San Francisco area Internet infrastructure company UnitedLayer LLC (unitedlayer.com) announced on Monday that it has expanded its operation into Bay Area data center 365 Main (365main.com).

United Layer will use its IP services to build a regional network in 365 Main’s data center. The expansion will include a duel redundant dark fiber ring that connects 365 Main to its two additional data centers, enabling United Layer to offer Layer 2 VLAN and Layer 3 IP services to all of 365 Main’s customers.

The move positions United Layer as the only company that can provide Layer 2/3 services between the carrier neutral data centers in the San Francisco Bay Area. United Layer offers redundant fiber, wireless, and multiple carriers offering a variety of services to its customers.

United Layer joins other Bay Area businesses at 365 Main, including Brightmail, Hot or Not, CNet, IPNetworks, and the Oakland Raiders.
