(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — UK managed hosting provider Titan Internet Limited (www.titaninternet.co.uk) announced on Thursday that it has launched a range of four hosting packages especially designed to support Microsoft WebMatrix.
Web host Codero announced on Tuesday that it now supports WebMatrix as well.
Titan was selected as one of Microsoft’s exclusive group of launch partners and is one of a few hosting companies to offer WebMatrix packages.
“We are delighted to be offering these specially designed packages to support the launch of WebMatrix. Publishing content is just one half of the story. Ensuring that it is easily found, loads quickly, is secure and is always available is the other half,” director at Titan Lee Christie said in a statement. “Which is why each Titan WebMatrix package is deployed on fast servers, and includes secure hardware firewalling, 24 x 7 server monitoring, daily backups and premium bandwidth as standard. We also have a full team of Microsoft Certified Professionals on hand to ensure that our customers are fully supported at all times.”
The packages offered by Titan have received Spotlight status by Microsoft and guarantee that each one has been created according to Microsoft’s best practice guidelines.
WebMatrix is a free Web development tool and enables end users to create and publish websites through open source applications, built-in templates, or self coding.
As part of the launch, Titan is offering a discount of 30 percent for every new WebMatrix package until the end of February 2011.
As a Microsoft Gold partner, Titan says it has been working to develop these packages since the beta launch of the WebMatrix software.
Titan was recently acquired by managed hosting and cloud computing firm iomart.
