(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — UK Web hosting provider CWCS Managed Hosting (www.cwcs.co.uk) announced on Thursday it has achieved Microsoft Certified Status, with an initial competency as a mid-market solution provider.
The certification follows the company’s upgrade of its network, power and performance at its two private data centers in Nottingham.
The upgrades included new Cisco routers, improved high speed internet connections, and a new power system that allows instant reboots for dedicated hosting customers.
CWCS hosts shared, dedicated and colocated servers out of the two data centers.
Both facilities deliver connectivity through three separate providers, including BT NET, NTL Virgin Media, and Verizon Business.
The accreditation was achieved in under three months, and the company also expects to add the hosting competency soon.
CWCS is also a RedHat Ready hosting partner, and is also pursuing a dual strategy with both Microsoft and RedHat.
“Our next aim is get Microsoft Gold Competencies in all relevant fields, as we want to send a clear message to the market and to our customers that we intend to offer them truly awesome support,” says Nick Sellors, chief operating officer at CWCS.
