(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web analytics firm Netcraft (www.netcraft.com) announced on Thursday that DataPipe (www.datapipe.net) and Server Intellect (www.serverintellect.com) tied for the most reliable hosting company sites in August 2009.
This is the fourth appearance in the top ten for DataPipe in the last five months, and last achieved the top postion of most reliable hosting company site in June.
The web hosting provider offers a range of hosting and managed services to companies in the financial services, healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
Sharing the top spot with DataPipe is Server Intellect, which reached the number one position for the first time this year.
The company runs Windows Server 2008 and is a Microsoft Gold Partner, and recently achieved Microsoft Security Solutions Competency.
Rounding out the top five most reliable company sites for August 2009 is Swishmail in third position, New York Internet in fourth place, and INetU in fifth place.
Four company sites this month uses Linux, two run on FreeBSD and one operates on Windows Server 2008.
Netcraft measures and posts the response times of 50 leading hosting providers’ sites.
The performance measurements are made at fifteen minute intervals from separate points around the Internet, with averages calculated over the immediately preceding 24 hour period.
