Tucows Accredited for .eu Domains

August 12, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Internet services wholesaler Tucows (tucows.com) said on Thursday that it had been accredited by EURid to sell .eu domain names.

Tucows says it will have .eu domains ready for sale when the sunrise registration period begins.

“Tucows works with many of the leading European service providers to provide domain registration and other services in every country in the European Union except Latvia,” says Elliot Noss, president of Tucows. “Becoming a fully accredited registrar of .EU reinforces our commitment to the European market.”

Last week, Tucows announced a major update to its Platypus billing and provisioning system.
