GeoTrust said it will also be incorporating TRUSTe members’ site seal information into its free TrustWatch identity verification toolbar and search site, released in September. The TRUSTe seal is displayed on e-commerce sites to indicate their adherence to strict privacy standards. TrustWatch is GeoTrust’s free toolbar and search site used to verify the identity and security of Web sites requesting confidential information. It is designed to help consumers guard against fraudulent and unsecured transactions.
