Trader Media Extends Telecity Deal
October 11, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — UK-based specialist media publisher Trader Media Group (tradermediagroup.com) announced on Tuesday it has extended its relationship with colocation and data center services provider TelecityRedbus (telecityredbus.com) with the acquisition of additional managed data center space at the TelecityRedbus facility in Manchester.
Trader Media Group says its increased demand for resilient data center space reflects the growth in its online businesses, which includes Auto Trader, one of the UKs busiest Web sites.
Trader Media Group uses TelecityRedbus’ managed data center services to fulfill the need for a fully resilient and fault tolerant online business platform. Part of the additional data center space will be used by Trader Media Group to house a new disaster recovery and business continuity solution. Trader Media Group will also use TelecityRedbuss hosting services to support its core international Web sites.
“When Trader Media Group selected TelecityRedbus it demanded exceptional standards in terms of data center services and engineering support,” says Adriaan Oosthoek, UK managing director for TelecityRedbus. “By placing additional infrastructure in our hands, Trader Media Group continues to demonstrate its belief that TelecityRedbus offers an ideal environment in which to maintain IT systems operating at the optimum level.”
