July 30, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Tiscali International Network (tiscali.net) and data center operator Equinix (equinix.com) announced on Wednesday that TINet has selected Equinix as a strategic partner for the expansion of the carrier’s European network initially from Equinix’s Frankfurt and Paris Internet Business Exchange data centers.
The announcement follows Tuesday’s news of Equinix partnering with London Internet Exchange exchange point to extend the LINX peering fabric into Equinix’s London-4 Internet Business Exchange data center located in Slough, England.
TINet has also recently expanded into additional markets in Canada, the US and Europe, opening PoPs in Toronto, Canada and Marseille, France. TINet offers IP Transit, MPLS lines and long distance Ethernet services to major service providers in North America, Hong Kong, Singapore and across Europe.
