(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center operator Tieto (www.tieto.com) announced on Thursday it will soon open a new data center in Moscow that will provide cloud and SaaS services to customers.
The new data center will open June 30th, bringing to Moscow for the first time cloud, SaaS and capacity services.
Tieto’s services are based on technologies such as partitioning and virtualization.
The company offers a range of services including solutions for processing and storage capacity using market leading technologies, services for application operations as well as connectivity, security, back-up and restoring.
“New services in Moscow follow Tieto’s strategic plan to expand in Russia,” says Tuomo Summanen, country manager of Tieto Russia and CIS. “To buy capacity based on real time business needs adds flexibility and frees our customers from capital investment. Key to success is in today´s modern business agility and cloud service model which enables companies to use the best combination of latest technology platforms without worrying about the competence or capital requirements. Tieto will operate as enterprise cloud integrator providing secure cloud services, connection to company’s legacy systems and also making best public cloud services available in a safe way”.
Tieto has invested in building new, energy efficient data centers in its main market of Sweden, Russia and Finland, which it revealed earlier this year it is constructing in Espoo.
The company is also building a new data center in Stockholm. The new data centers maximize security and the use of green energy solutions.
