Three Security Flaws Found in Linux

The Linux Kernel Project, the report said, released a new version of the 2.4 series kernel – version 2.4.25 – to fix the vulnerability. It is the second time this year the project has had to issue a patch.

Meanwhile, the report said that other companies and projects that package their own versions of Linux, such as Red Hat, Novell’s recently acquired SuSE and Debian, released patches soon after the flaw was revealed.

According to the report, the flaw is considered less dangerous than vulnerabilities that allow outsiders to compromise a computer remotely.
