(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Outsourced managed computing and IT applications network infrastructure provider Savvis Communications Corporation (www.savvis.net) announced a three-year extension of its service agreement with Thomson Reuters (www.thomsonreuters.com), which provides information for businesses and professionals around the world.
Under the terms of the agreement, Savvis will continue to serve as an approved strategic vendor to provide managed hosting and managed network solutions for a wide range of Thomson Reuters products and services, according to Savvis’ Thursday announcement. Savvis will be providing IT infrastructure for exchange data collection and management for Thomson Reuters’ worldwide market data services, as well as numerous managed hosting and IT infrastructure services in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
“Thomson Reuters has a longstanding relationship with Savvis and this newly extended agreement allows us to continue to create exciting new opportunities for customers worldwide,” Savvis US senior vice president and managing director Bill Fathers said in a statement. “As an important provider of IT infrastructure to Thomson Reuters across three continents, we are committed to delivering best-in-class solutions to its growing customer base.”
Thomson Reuters global network communications head Graeme Ramsey said Thomson Reuters’ “intelligent information” and “transactions-enabled” services are central to helping its customers get the information they need to succeed. “As we continue to expand our services worldwide, we require trusted vendors who are able to scale and grow with us,” Ramsey said in a statement. “We look forward to continuing the good relationship with Savvis on our projects today and going forward.”
