(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — UK cloud computing provider ThinkGrid (www.thinkgrid.com) announced on Tuesday it has launched its enterprise-class data storage solution on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Based on the Mezeo Cloud Storage Platform, the new storage solution offers a range of benefits, including back-up and disaster recovery as well as business collaboration.
It can either be purchased as a standalone solution accessible from almost any device via an internet connection, including the iPhone and BlackBerry, or integrated with ThinkGrid’s full business IT on demand portfolio, which includes Hosted Desktop and Dynamic Server plans.

Launched earlier this year, Mezeo Personal Cloud Storage is the industry’s first deployable, white label online file sharing and collaboration solution.
The solution lets service providers offer their own branded file storage service solution, which lets providers increase their own revenue and attract new customers.
The highly secure platform offers SSL encryption of files for transfer and 256 bit AES encryption in storage, which lets users access the stored files through mobile devices or web browsers.
ThinkGrid Cloud Storage also provides businesses that either collaborate on or send large files with a faster and more effective approach than sending email attachments.
The pay-as-you-go model ensures that customers will not have to make an expensive upfront investment, are able to reduce the amount of space as required, and only pay for what they use.
The service is hosted in multiple data centers that, according to ThinkGrid, run on a “highly available, fully resilient and constantly mirrored Grid computing model,” which is constantly backed-up and managed by a team of specialists around the clock.
ThinkGrid’s enterprise-class data storage solution can be purchased as a stand-alone service or as a fully integrated solution with the existing business IT on demand offering.
Both solutions include hierarchical and tag-based File organization, permission management, contact import tool, publishable URL, patented online recycle container.
Launched in 2008, ThinkGrid provides on-demand business IT solutions to small and medium businesses.
