April 6, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed Web hosting provider The Planet (theplanet.com) announced on Monday that it had released Focus Series, a package of turnkey, application-specific hardware, software and hosting packages. The company says the systems and software are pre-installed and pre-configured to optimize performance and accelerate deployment. Available solutions include Web hosting, mail, rich media delivery, database management and a bundled, multi-application configuration.
“Focus Series really brings the needs of dynamic businesses into focus,” says Julia Estes, vice president of sales and marketing at The Planet. “Just as we created Server Matrix and Total Control as unique answers to the marketplace’s need for on-demand and fully-flexible solutions, Focus Series addresses businesses’ demand for cost-efficient, quickly deployed solutions.”
The Planet says the bundles can be deployed on-demand at up to 1000 servers at a time.
